LEAP Success Stories

2017 Winner – Anna Lane

The Candidate:

Anna Lane applied to take part in LEAP after her mum read about it in the local paper! Anna had years of experience working as a therapist but had never run her own business.

The Business Idea:

Working as a therapist for the past 14 years, Anna developed her love of massage into practical knowledge and her efforts have led her to organise, manage and create running spas at festivals. Olive Branch Mobile Spa bring a ready-made spa to any location, whether that be hotels, festivals, hen parties, corporate days or local residences transforming any space into a world of relaxation, joy and peace bringing any individual to a point of tranquillity.

The Reality:

As a result of taking part in LEAP Anna was able to buy her first tent – as opposed to hiring – the spectacular “Sky Gazer” which offers a view of the sky as clients receive their treatment. Olive Branch Mobile Spa latest event was at a Christmas Fair at Ightham Mote, a medieval moated manor house in Kent. The tents were set up in the grounds and offered clients the opportunity to be pampered in heated tents with views into the stunning grounds.

Anna has also received nominations for other awards, including the innovation award at the Sussex Women of Excellence Awards and was interviewed on BBC Sussex about her business.

Anna’s thoughts after taking “The LEAP”

“LEAP has been fantastic, I genuinely feel that without this assistance I would be in a different situation. LEAP has helped me understand every aspect of the business and I feel confident to move forward with this very exciting venture”
