Clare Smith has won £2,500 towards her new business start-up in the first ever ‘virtual’ final of the Local Enterprise and Apprenticeship Platform (LEAP) annual award.

Clare Smith beat the other finalists who all had to present their business plans to a panel of judges in a Dragons’ Den-style competition, held online this year due to the pandemic.

Clare Smith Floristry is simply named after the founder of the business, to show customers that this is floral design with a personal touch. Every bouquet or arrangement is crafted as a bespoke creation by Clare, and she is proud to put her name to each bloom.

Clare has honed her skills as a florist delivering florals for all occasions, from weddings to funerals, gift bouquets, Christmas wreaths, and more. Since embarking on this new business Clare Smith Floristry has gained a following of returning customers and grown a reputation for fresh and beautiful long-lasting flowers, with excellent customer service.
